इसी माह उद्घाटित भव्य व आकर्षक नई बिल्डिंग से रेलवे स्टेशन की सुंदरता में चार चाँद लगने के बाद अब रेलवे ने बहुमंजिला मल्टीफंक्शनल कॉम्पलेक्स के निर्माण की तैयारी प्रारंभ कर दी है । जबलपुर में इसके निर्माण की रेल बजट में घोषणा के बाद अब रेलवे बोर्ड सक्रिय हो गया है और पश्चिम मध्य रेल मुख्यालय को फरमान भेजकर स्थल निर्धारण के निर्देश दिए गए हैं ।

जबलपुर का रेलवे स्टेशन अब जल्द ही बदले स्वरूप में दिखाई देगा। स्टेशन के बाहरी स्थल को महानगर का लुक देने की कवायद शुरू कर दी गई है । जबलपुर डीआरएम एस के लूथरा ने बताया कि स्टेशन पर आने जाने वालों की सुविधा को ध्यान में रखकर कार्य शुरू कर दिया गया है । पश्चिम मध्य रेल मुख्यालय के जबलपुर रेलवे स्टेशन की व्यवस्थाओं को और व्यवस्थित किया जाने लगा है । स्टेशन के रंग रूप में परिवर्तन किए जाने के साथ ही पार्किंग को मेट्रो सिटी का लुक दिया जाएगा । पत्रकारों से एक अनौपचारिक बातचीत के दौरान श्री लूथरा ने कहा कि प्लेटफार्म क्र. 1 और 4 के बाहर स्थित मार्ग पर लगे रहने वाले जाम को हमेशा के लिए नियंत्रित करने, मेट्रो बस की आवाजाही की सीमा निर्धारित करने पर विचार किया जा रहा है । डीआरएम ने कहा स्टेशन को आँटो स्टैंड की लडखडाई व्यवस्था को दुरस्त करने जिला पुलिस और प्रशासन के सहयोग से प्रीपेड बूथ आँटो चलाई जायेगी ।

“VISION2010 Destination Jabalpur Industrial Meet” received overwhelming response from the office bearers of national repute organization ‘The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry’ (ASSOCHAM), CBMD, a unit of Swadeshi Jagram Manch along with assurances of providing adequate finance for the industry and industrial development of Jabalpur by Punjab National Bank (PNB). The one day session was held to access the potential and opportunities of industrial development and to discuss problems related to sluggish industrial growth in Jabalpur.

BUOYED over response to metro taxi in Bhopal, the State Tourism Department will launch metro taxi service in Ujjain, Jabalpur and gwalior besides caravan systems for tourists in the State. Concluding the debate on budge grants in the State Assembly on Wednesday. Minister of Tourism and Sports and Welfare Tukojirao Puar said that caravan system is under operation in many parts of the country. Its service will soon be stated in the State for tourism promotion.
